The HMX brand is known for its incredibly well-lubricated switches and the great and interesting materials used in their switches. The Hyacinth V2U switches are no different!

The V2U version differs from its predecessor, among other things, in the end point (total travel). The Hyacinth V2U switches feature a 3.9mm end point, while their predecessor had only 3.6mm. Additionally, the V2U version is fully purple, as requested by fans of the previous versions.

Dedicated to enthusiasts

Hyacinth switches, or rather the V2U version, are dedicated to enthusiasts of previous models. And why?

When HMX and Sillyworks started designing the Hyacinth V2 switches, fans begged them to make the new Hyacinth switches have a longer total travel and a full purple color. However, due to some production reasons at the time, Silly decided to make the V2 version with a linear switch with a 3.6mm travel and kept the green stem from the Hyacinth V1.

Silly didn't give us what we wanted, but he never forgot about it. After hard work with HMX and tweaking the designs, they finally came up with a mold set to realize the almost full total-travel Hyacinth switch. This is the V2U, because the "U" stands for designed by "U" and designed for "U" (the U here represents enthusiasts. In English, "u" is short for "you").

HMX x Sillyworks Hyacinth V2U Linear Switches switches are linear switches, meaning that the keystroke is consistent, with no perceptible change in resistance.

Compatibility

HMX x Sillyworks Hyacinth V2U switches fit any mechanical keyboard that supports MX switches.

The 5 pins can be modified to 3 pins by cutting off the extra 2 plastic legs if necessary.
